CULTURAL IMPACT

What are the goals of the NVA?

Small business, independent arts, emerging arts are some of the most essential to the greater arts community but are the first institutions to be forgotten. These small organizations do what they do not for the abundant riches but for the love of art and the artists. Small stages offer the first opportunities for artists to learn and grow their audiences. Studio space and rehearsal space is hard to find and sustain for new acts. Dance studios and theater spaces are expensive to rent for new works in progress. Affordable options for emerging artists need to exist and need to become a part of the conversation. New works, new project spaces are arguably the most essential stages regardless of their contribution to the art economy. Neighborhood Venue Alliance in partnership with it's affiliate NPO, Ardes Shea Arts Foundation, Inc will advocate and fund creative spaces for new works, projects and emerging artists.
