A series of forum discussions with small business owners, independent
venue operators, promoters, and local independent artists and labels.

The Neighborhood Venue Alliance is an advocacy group specifically for local small and micro venues. The intention of NVA is to act as a liaison for independent emerging arts stages in our neighborhoods with regulatory agencies and provide consistent access to resources related to operation and funding. The goals of the NVA are to create a network of like minded business owners. We aim to promote neighborhood nightlife as well as model a standard for best practices. It is also our imperative to remove financial barriers in order to keep our stages accessible for lower income emerging artists and patrons.
In the interest of transparency and open dialogue among small business owners, local
representatives, patrons and collaborators, NVA is curating a series of forum discussions and mixers at participating venues starting this fall and eventually becoming a bi-monthly event hosted at different participating venues covering a variety of issues facing small independent venues and local businesses.
